Sweet child – Violent adult

A British study found a disturbing link between sweets consumption in childhood and violent behavior in adulthood. Although they could not yet explain the mechanism behind this relationship, researchers say that it is there.
The study, conducted at Cardiff University, involved 17,500 people and is the first to explore the relationship between diet followed in childhood and aggressive behavior in adulthood.

Results showed that children who, at the age of 10 years, ate sweets daily, had a significantly higher risk to suffer convictions for violence up to the age of 34 years.
69% of those who had such convictions had consumed sweets almost every day when they were kids, while only 42% of non-violent had a similar diet.
The relationship was significant even after removing other factors such as parents’ behavior, the area from which the participants came from, lack of education after the age of 16 years and owning a car.
So far, researchers have discovered an explanation of the link. One hypothesis suggests that children who are given sweets daily learn not to delay getting a reward, they get used to head straight off what they want, develop an impulsive behavior, and if they do not get what they want, easily lose themselves and assigns violent impulses.
An alternative explanation is that to aggressive, unruly and difficult children, parents give more sweets to calm them.
Finally, a third hypothesis suggests installing a dependent of certain additives present in sweets, which leads to aggressive behavior in adulthood.
The conclusions of the study have been criticized by Julian Hunt, communications director of the Food and Drink Federation (FDF), but Professor Simon Moore, who led the project, said it is convinced that there was a relationship between high consumption of sweets in childhood and later aggressive comportment and that researchers efforts will focus on the discovery of this relationship mechanism.

Special paint blocks Wi-fi signal

If you don’t like the fact that your neighbors are abusing your wireless connection now you have the solution : a special paint that will not let your wireless signal to pass thru it. So all you need to do now is to paint the walls of your house with this paint for total protection. The secret lays in the paint composition (a mixture of aluminum-iron oxide particles). The metal particles resonate at the same frequency as Wi-Fi signal, so signals can’t pass through the thin layer of pigment. The ones outside your house would simply be unable to access your network, just as you, in the inside won’t be able to interlope on anything beamed on the outside.
The paint was developed by the University of Tokyo and the first that can block radio frequency in higher spectra where Wi-Fi and other higher-bandwidth communications occur rather than just low-frequency wireless like FM radio.

Hitler didn’t died in the bunker! Incredible hypothesis !

The theory stating that Adolf Hitler committed suicide is being questioned again after new tests carried out on a cranial bone holey by a bullet, discovered by the Russians in 1946, established that it belonged to an unknown woman and not to the Nazi leader, informs The Observer.
The authors of numerous biographies of Adolf Hitler state that the Nazi leader would have committed suicide with Eva Braun, taking a cyanide pill and then shooting himself on April 30, 1945, while the Red Army bombed Berlin.
Some historians have expressed, however, doubts regarding the fact that Hitler would have committed suicide by shooting, considering that this information about the Nazi leader’s death has been “twisted” in order to present a heroic death.
However, a skull fragment of a bullet hole, which was taken from the bunker by the Russians and exhibited in Moscow in 2000 seemed to end disputes.
However, after further analysis that showed the bone belongs to a women, theories of Hitler’s death have been reviewed.
According to bone expert analysis Nick Bellantone, from the University of Connecticut, it was clear from the beginning that something was wrong with the skull which proved to be from a woman.

Warrior squirrels – the animal kingdom ninjas

Small and pretty, but fast as the arrows and bitter when their interests are threatened, squirrels are able to fight stubbornly, as well displayed in the images below.
As can be seen in the following gallery, the small rodents, with their bushy tails, not only can be aggressive, but their bellicose manifestations look like movements drawn from martial arts practiced by Ninja warriors. Their fighting eyes are not less sharp neither.
