The gas mask bra won the Ig Nobel Prize for public health

The designers of the bra that turns into a gas mask and a team that found that cows produce more milk if they have names were among the winners of Ig Nobel prizes for 2009.
The awards aim to reward performances of those who “first make people laugh and then make them think”. The Peace Prize went to a Swiss research team which has determined whether it is better to be hit in the head with a full bottle of beer or an empty one. The ceremony was organized by the magazine Annals of Improbable Research.
Dr. Elena Bodnar won for bringing in public health care the bra which, in case of emergency, can be transformed into two gas masks. She demonstrated the efficiency of her product and offered her invention as gift to each Nobel laureate.
